Chip timing by Wild Heart Productions.
Read the event information or keep reading this web page to learn how we are navigating the public health situation.
We are comfortably within NJ guidelines for cross-country running competition. We have cleared this event with Friends School and IAS.
Here’s the golden rule: if you are sick, stay home.
Preregister. Limited to 200 Participants.
Entry: (All online fees are covered.)
Through August 16, online only: $35 includes T-shirt.
“No T-shirt” option at a discount through August 16.
August 17 to September 4, online only: $40, remainder T-shirt if available.
Within 72 hours of start – no promises.
Preregistration encouraged. Sign up at the event will be $55.
Due to needs of chip timing crew, day-of registration may have a hard cut-off. As always, it’s space available, credit card only.
Volunteer: Sign up online, choose the event crew category.
Event crew is a free registration – you will get a confirmation email. If you do not get the confirmation email, the sign up is not complete.
We plan to conduct the event entirely outdoors. No access to interior of Friends School. We will make ample provisions.
Participants may select a traditional mass start or a time trial according to individual comfort level.
Participants may cache water for themselves at the usual location of the water stop. Please label your water bottle with your name.
We will have more particular guidance on social distancing closer to event date. It will probably change between June 22 and September 7.
NJ guidelines: do not wear a mask while engaging in vigorous physical activity.
The competitive event will be a traditional mass start. All placing will be determined by order of finish across the line. This is the essential nature of a competitive race. NJ guidelines classify this as medium risk.
Participants have the option to proceed on the course immediately following the mass start. Note that any participant may incidentally encounter other participants along the course. NJ guidelines classify this as low risk.
All placing will be determined by order of finish across the line (gun time).
All participants will receive a chip time from individual time across the start line to time across the finish line.
Update as of 3/30/2020
Registration is suspended. We expect to reschedule.
We will review status for the event to be consistent with CDC guidelines and NJ state requirements.
Thank you for your patience.
